Since I have been active on the beach for years, I wanted to see if there was more opportunity to bring more people to the local spot. I decided to partner with the current company I was with, DB Skimboards, and the state park that ran the beach to see if it was possible to have a rental stand. They agreed, and I ended up renting stand up paddle-boards, kayaks, and skimboards on the beach. They allowed me to put a container filled with the boards and create a point of sale. This was an amazing experience, and I was fortunate enough to take the lead on the entire operation, from permitting, contracts, creating a new LLC, working with websites and softwares, managing employees, and more. Although it did not make a large profit, I still received a ton of value. I believe that this could have been a successful business if I continued, however the timing in my life was not ideal.
